The mission of the Marin Women’s Commission is to advocate for equity & parity, diversity, self-sufficiency, leadership, and access to resources, to enhance the quality of life for ﾠMarin County women at all stages of life.

Through its establishing ordinance, MWC also exists to study problems, consult with the Board of Supervisors, prepare information, advise and counsel residents as well as County, State and Federal officials concerning matters related to discrimination against women and the violation of women’s rights.

MWC was a founding member of the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame and helped to initiate such ongoing programs as the Family & Children’s Law Center.
